    Terms & Conditions

    Last updated: 30 May 2026

    About these terms

These terms govern your use of this website and provide a general framework for enquiries made to Yacht Lighting Systems. Project-specific work, manufacturing, supply, commissioning, installation support, or consultancy will normally be governed by a separate written quotation, proposal, specification, or contract.

    Use of this website

You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, copy protected material without permission, or use the website in a way that disrupts its operation.

    Information on this website

Website content is provided for general information and marketing purposes. It is not a binding technical specification, quote, guarantee, or professional advice. We may update, remove, or correct website content at any time.

    Enquiries and proposals

Submitting an enquiry does not create a contract. Any quotation, estimate, lead time, design concept, or technical proposal is subject to written confirmation, specification review, availability, engineering feasibility, and any stated assumptions or exclusions.

    Bespoke design and development

Many of our solutions are bespoke. Features, finishes, animations, control behaviours, downlight formats, True Beam™ guidance, and vessel-wide show sequences may require discovery, prototyping, engineering validation, and approval before manufacture or implementation.

    Pricing, payment and VAT

Prices, payment milestones, VAT treatment, delivery costs, installation support, and commissioning costs will be stated in the relevant quotation or contract. Unless stated otherwise in writing, prices shown or discussed are indicative and may change after technical review.

    Lead times

Lead times are estimates unless expressly agreed in writing. Bespoke engineering, supplier availability, vessel access, client approvals, specification changes, testing, and logistics may affect delivery dates.

    Client responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate information, drawings, access requirements, electrical specifications, design constraints, safety requirements, and approvals needed for the project. You are also responsible for ensuring that any third-party systems, vessel infrastructure, and installation environments are suitable unless otherwise agreed.

    Intellectual property

All website content, designs, concepts, software, control logic, animations, drawings, images, text, branding, and technical material remain owned by Yacht Lighting Systems or its licensors unless expressly transferred in writing. You must not copy, reproduce, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit our materials without permission.

    Third-party products and integrations

Where systems integrate with third-party hardware, software, networks, control systems, or vessel infrastructure, we are not responsible for failures, limitations, updates, or changes outside our control unless expressly agreed.

    Warranties and exclusions

Any warranty applicable to products or services will be set out in the relevant written agreement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties, representations, and conditions not expressly stated in writing.

    Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect, consequential, or business losses arising from use of the website or reliance on general website information. Project liability will be governed by the relevant written contract.

    Consumer rights

If you are acting as a consumer, you may have statutory rights that cannot be excluded. Bespoke or personalised goods and services may be treated differently from standard off-the-shelf purchases. Any consumer cancellation rights will be addressed in the applicable order or contract documents where relevant.

    Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction unless a mandatory law provides otherwise.
